100 minutes, unlimited text and up to 5 gbs 4g data.

I really don't need a lot of minutes, but these are enough to review the actual phone connection. I was more interested in data.

Very nice :D. Mine is at home -- I will swap my SIM once I get out of work.

Same plan I have on SIM one.

Suits my needs really well...I'm happy with the service.
The ZF2 sees 2-3 bars in the house with 4G.

I'm using a $5 mo 512mb data only Red pocket (T-Mobile) sim in slot 1 and am using a H2o (att) sim in slot 2 for voice and text. Working out pretty good at various spots around town today although T-mobile is the weaker of the two.

Were you able to get that plan online yourself or did you call? Thats the walmart deal and they require you to get the sim from them.

You can get it online. It's not walmart only. It's walmart and online. Go to the TMO prepaid website and you will see it.

I'm not seeing it unfortunately in their prepaid site. $40 is their lowest priced prepaid plan.

It's not listed with the regular plans. It's all the way at the bottom under "Other Monthly Plans". IIRC, it'll be similarly hidden when trying to activate it.

Are all of you folks using the sim that came in the package or using your own separate sim?? I just called T-Mobile and they asked for the pin of the sim so I have to change it in order for them to change my plan. Lot of work here just to activate this device, lol.

Normally you don't have to do that because you do everything online. There was a thread earlier where I suggested people order the SIM online for free - they are always having these free sales several times a year - so that they would have it already when the phone came. Then you just activate the phone yourself online without any phone calls and it takes all of a minute.

The SIM that came from ASUS was already activated and the plan expired so that is why you are having problems. Also, the $30 plan is only for new activations.

Been using this plan for a couple of years and love it. It is absolutely buried on T-Mobile's site, but worth digging for.

Posted via the Android Central App on my Asus ZenFone 2

I ordered one for $1 starter activation kit but for another device not to long ago. I was going to try out metro pcs with this device but since it came with a sim, I didn't bother getting it. I have it activated now with the $30 plan but with the California number it was activated with. I tried changing it but they told me I couldn't do that. Can't I go online now and change it myself?

You can't change your number yourself once it's activated. If you have an existing number you want to port, you have to call TMO and have them initiate the port. If you wanted a new number altogether, you have to do that when you activate.

I am using a Media Devil SIM adapter to make it a micro SIM. I just used my Nano SIM from my S6.

I have been out of the loop for the past 24 hours and I have not had a lot of time to play with the phone but there is either an issue with TMobile or with the phone. I did a speed test yesterday on data and it was awful. I am supposed to get 5 gbs of 4G. I did another speed test this evening and it was even worse. I have a screenshot of my Note with Verizon and then the Asus with TMobile. Also, I am not even getting 4g right now. I am getting 3g and does anyone know what that H+ means.

H+ is HSPA+, which is like a 3.5G network - faster than 3G but not quite 4G. You should make sure first that you are supposed to be getting LTE where you live. If you are, I would visit or call Tmobile and see if they need to do anything on your line or maybe swap out your SIM. What are your APN settings?

It is set at T-Mobile US LTE

I thought I saw 4g during the first speed test and I was outside a Big O Tires store near my house. The 3g/H+ has been inside my house. I do know that T-Mobile offers 4G here in my area.

Check your APN and make sure it says......fast.t-mobile.com
