Hey right when I thought about finally unlocking my phone I got the update for the GS3 a couple weeks ago then I read on AC if you got the update do not use the method until the kinks for the new update are worked out...... Can someone tell me if it's safe now? I've been looking and don't see any updates on it

Are you talking about the update that updated your baseband to G7? If so then yes you still can root your device you just need to use the one-click method.

Use the simple PC utility to root:

Use EZ-Unlock for your bootloader:

FYI, I was rooted and unlocked. I re locked the bootloader and installed the HE update OTA and lost root. I used the debugfs root method and EZ Unlock 1.2 and both work with this update too.
