Okay.. After waiting several weeks.. I've given up hope and decided to upgrade my tablet to cm11 based on kikat... Oh my... This tablet rocks!! This is the closest it can get to gpe... it's been very stable.. I definitely recommend it!

i've never rooted a android device before, if something go wrong i can go back to the lg factory image?

Do as much research as you can first. Root doesn't change your factory image it just gives you access to the root partition and control of it. In most cases all that really happens is a couple files are placed in internal memory to protect and control root access. These file can be removed and unroot without ever changing the stock image.

As listed by other users, Rooting just adds a few files and should not change anything with respect to the ROM. That said, using the lg mobile manager utility you might be able refresh the device to stock.. But I haven't tried it myself.. Nexus devices are great in this regard since you can always flash the stock image!

The process itself is extremely easy and should not take more than a few mins.
