GPE Galaxy S4 Flip Cover not working

Here is the issue and a large google search gets me nothing but the flip not closing.

I bought a original flip cover recently. And my Google Play Edition Galaxy S4, is showing the time and notifications thru the plastic glass if you will fine. However when I get a phone call and the flip cover is closed I only have the time showing and not the caller id as said on many websites. What could be the problem. Running kit kat 4.4.4 stock ROM

I looked around and the flip cover should also display the caller ID. I would suggest digging through the settings to see if there's anything you can change to enable this setting. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the reply. Having done this I haven't found anything in the settings. Any other ideas? A bit sad how it works in videos but not now. Wonder if its a 4.4.4 thing since it was last seen in videos working on previous android.

It could be a 4.4.4. thing, but I don't see why. I'll keep an eye out for you and see of there os anything else to try.

Thanks. I have a feeling its os related since this is a gpe phone and not touch wiz.

Update found out that it could be an issue with kit kat. As other phones including the GPE s4 have this known issue with the s-view flip cover
