GPS and compass issues on LG G4?

Do any LG G4 owners have issues with the compass not pointing in the right direction using Google Maps and any compass app? I went to the AT&T store and tried the LG G4 here in NYC and it was off by 90deg. I tried using the iPhone 6 which was pointing correctly. I am a LG G2 owner and its been frustrating having a compass that doesn't work properly. Would love to know if others are having this problem before I purchase. Thank you

You have to calibrate the compass

I had issues with G3, but I fixed them calibrating the sensor. I did the same with G4.

I to am having issues with compass apps on my G4. I've tried 5 apps so far and have the same issue with most. When I calibrate, I can get the N-S within a degree or two, but the E-W is off by 25-30 degrees. Calibrate again, and my E-W will be ok, but N-S is off by 20-25 degrees. I even drove to a local high school football field to eliminate any magnetic interference, but got the same results. I even removed my Otterbox...it's plastic...just as an experiment ,but no help. I loaded one of the apps I tried on the wife's I6 and it worked perfect, it was within a degree of my real compass. I baffled.
