GPS fix app??

I tried searching but came up a little empty handed. I remember reading that there was something people were doing to their phones that made the GPS faster to lock on or more accurate. In searching, I see it as it applies to other carriers, but am not sure if that goes for the Fascinate as well. I don't think my phone's GPS is necessarily horrible, but maybe I just don't know what I'm missing. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Oops. There is a thread right below mine created just a little prior that I think pretty much asks the same thing unless anyone else has anything to add to my question.

Couldn't find that post but I used GPS Status Free and it fixed my GPS so far.

This is probably just muddying the water of the nebulous "GPS issue" but after trying both on my phone, the GPS Test app by Chartcross seems to be a lot faster than even the GPS Status app at getting a lock. If one doesn't work, be sure to try the other.
