GPS help

I have a MID TR718D pad,one of the main reasons I bought it was to use it as a routefinder while off roading,problem is all apps are saying GPS is switched off
I've tried to find the gps but can't,and the instruction manual doesn't mention it
Anybody help please?

Location & Security in settings.

Tried that,it wont even find my location while connected via wifi
Tried connecting a dongle and it won't have that either
Time it went on ebay I think

Does it have a GPS chip in it, now familiar with that device.

Did a quick google search and found a page that gives some specs on the MID TR718D: rockchip-mid-tr718d

In the specs, it says 'GPS: No' - evidently there is no built in GPS chip (which is what I'd expect on a cheap tablet).

With those specs it's hard to believe it even exist! 1st version of Android with a chip that is slower than any you could ever find in the US, no GPS, doesn't even say n for WIFI.

But there are good WIFI only tablets without GPS, so there ya go,
