i moved house last week, and i've noticed that my google maps (or any app using location) is still default back to my old location (some 30 miles away).

it seems to do this when gps coverage is a little poor.

is there any way to reset this so that it doesn't do it?

pixel 2 on pie.

Change the Home location in Maps to your current address (when you have good GPS coverage).

i did that last week, and the maps shows my new location as home

I've just worked out why it's doing this.
It's because googled have mapped my WiFi ap ssid as being at my old location via the streetview mapping.

I moved and took my AP with me and Google database thinks it's still at the old location.

There needs to be a way to tell Google to forget the old location.

It's also not mapped just by SSID so changing that won't help.
