GPS not working at all...HELP!!!

Alright guys I need some serious help. I think I have made my GPS completely crapped out. I am currently using the latest build of MIUI (1.4.1). I know that all the AOSP based ROMs are having GPS issues which isn't really a problem for me, haven't used NAV in a couple of months. The problem is when I go back into my SENSE backup the GPS always worked, now it is having the same problem of not being able to locate me inside of Google Maps. I've tried the 2 tricks that people are saying are working and I'm sure many people have gotten it to. I on the other hand now find myself GPSless. Oh, I also did the little trick to get faster 3G, the one where you go into Edit Mode and change to 2 bottom settings. Well I've changed those back to what they are stock and still nothing. Please if anyone can help me you would be the greatest person EVER!!!

Sorry about the super long time it took me to respond....just got home from work....lol. Anyway the two tricks I tried were this.

1. "GPS NOT WORKING

thanks i actually found this and it worked

1 - Go to the Market and download the app: MSL Reader
2 - Use this app to get your MSL # (mine was six digits)
2 - Flash to any Sense ROM
3 - Launch phone dialer and dial ##GPSCLRX# (##4772579#)
4 - Enter the MSL Number from above
5 - Your phone will automatically reboot in 10 seconds
6 - After you're rebooted back into the Sense rom you can go and reFlash CM7
7 - Hopefully this fixed your GPS


2. I had the same GPS locking issue, and solved it with an app called GPS Status, which you can get for free in the Market.

After enabling GPS and going into GPS Status, you'll need to do the following:
1. Menu > Manage A-GPS state > Reset
2. Menu > Manage A-GPS state > Download
3. Try Navigation to see if GPS lock works



Still no good getting GPS to work.

Still no good getting GPS to work.

Give this a try...

Install "Sprint Lovers Rom"... and do the first GPS fix you tried. See if you can get it up and running. If you do get it working

... do a complete fresh install of Miui. And see if the fix sticks.

If it dose, then its got to be something in your backups. If it doesn't fix it, you may have a hardware issue. Its the only other thing I can think of at the moment.

I did the whole Sprint Lovers Rom , msl fix when I flashed 1.4 a d haven't had an issue yet.

Cool deal, glad to hear that it worked. Let me give that a shot and I'll check back in. Quick question....if it does stick, do you think it would work for the other ROMS like CM7 for example?

Ya it will work with any AOSP rom, I found the fix in one of the CM threads over at xda.

Sadly it still couldn't get a lock on me. I suppose your probably right on the hardware issue. I wouldn't imagine I did anything that broke it. I mean it would just relocate right?

Have you tried getting a lock while your outside???

Other than it maybe a hardware issue... I'm out of ideas m8.

UPDATE: Ok, maps and nav work outside but nav won't find me inside....lol. Whatever, suppose I don't need it at home.

Thanks for the suggestion man, totally worked for the Sense ROMS still no good on the AOSP side. No worries though. Just gotta give it sometime for all the bugs in 2.3 to be worked out.
