Good afternoon. After the update, I get a notification when turning on GPS. Is there a way to disable this notification? Thanks for any input. Stock phone, no root, MR2 update OTA.

Ok from my understanding what your issue is when you go to turn on any apps that use gps you are greeted with a big box warning u about location services. And u have to click ok to use the app. If that's the case I know when i first booted up after applying the update there were to options ok and don't warn again. I click don't warn again and have not seen the warning since. I believe the only way to get that option to show back up is by doing a factory reset and clicking don't warn again on your first bootBump. Anyone have any suggestions?
Just uncheck the gps option, then go back to home screen and repeat but this time check the options back out to option screen and restart phone. You should get the warning againSame boat also. Never had this before. And it's super frustrating. Since I use tasker to manage my gps l don't want confirm every time gps is turned on! Please help
Alright. I figured out a way to do this. Turn the gps on and turn off the phone, not reboot. Give it time to power all the way down and power up. At this point there should be a dialog box come up with the option to 'never warn'. That did it for me.
I did this, and got the 'Never Warn' option. and clicked it. But that did not stop the warning from coming up. Tasker turned my GPS off and back on :'( and it popped up again with the ok or cancel option. And it also comes up if i manually turn it off and back on.
Ditto. The "Never Warn" dialogue came up, and I selected the "Never Warn" option but I guess it is ignored. I still get the warning manually turning on the standalone GPS services. Before the update I told it to never warn... it worked fine. After the update the phone rebooted but no new "never warn" screen came up, however the GPS warning started popping up each time. I just now followed Mikey D's instructions and shut off/on the phone, "never warn" screen came up again, but it ignored my preference. I think this is what most people are experiencing.
Could be, i flashed with OTA. I just completely turned off the phone and turned it back on.. "never warn" message popped up again to my surprise, made sure to carefully select "never warn" and tried manually disabling and re-enabling the GPS... the warning still came uplol this is a bit ridiculous....haha
I'm glad I did the ruu because that would drive me crazy.
