So I am due an upgrade for new phone. have a stock Fascinate that I cant wait to get rid of. I use my GPS probably the most and am tired of the ssues with the Fassy. How is the GPS on the Maxx and/or the regular Razr? Should I wait for the Galaxy S III?

I've used the GPS on my Razr Maxx pretty extensively and it hasn't failed me yet. For me, it's always been fast and accurate.

GPS works wonderful on my MAXX :)

I had a Mesmerize, same as your Fascinate, and I can tell you the GPS on my Maxx is WAY better! Locks fast and accurate.

Motorola is pretty much awesome. Best radios, best GPS, and IMO best build quality of any other phone out there. Now about that boot loader....

Never had an issue with mine in almost 3 months of near daily use.

In some ways, I think the GPS on the Maxx is better than my 2 year old TomTom.

Pretty normal experience (Fastest to slowest):
GPS+Service Signal+Wifi On >> GPS+Service Signal >> GPS Only
Clear LOS to sky >> Slightly obstructed/moving/cloudy >> Indoors Residential.
[GPS+Service Signal+Wifi On] = instant

It did take me like a long 10-20 seconds to get a lock the other day while I was mobile hotspotting and on the highway. So my situation was (GPS+Service Signal) + (Moving).
