Unfortunately not. You have to be rooted in order to begin Flashing anything to your device. If you're looking into possibly rooting, you can get started by checking out this thread.

If I root can I just add the GPS fix.
This is my first smart phone and ,as of now, the only thing I find frustrating is the lock time of the GPS.
I should add, the first thing I did was download Launcher Pro and get Google search on.

If your question is can you just apply DJ05? Yes. That's a maintenance update from Verizon (that has yet to be officially released for God knows whatever reason) and it has alleviated most of my GPS problems.

For me anyway, that "quick fix" helped a little but DJ05 is still significantly better.

Agreed. The DJ05 Stock Rom from XDA applies the rest of the fixes DJ05 addresses aside from just the GPS one.

I meant my gps worked even better in true dj05, regardless the other stuff dj05 brings.

My cold locks were ~3 min on di01, then maybe half that with the "fix" but it's 15-30sec on dj05
