...but what does it do as a phone?

Don't get me wrong. The specs are great, but for a person like me, I'm in the market for a new phone. My old Blackberry is breaking down and I want a good phone. I don't need all of those laptop docks and such. Is it too much to see what it does as a phone with calls, texting and all of that?

That is all.

Um does just what other android phones do. Makes/receives calls and texts. What do you expect. Not much you can change with that stuff.

Sent from my Dell Streak

Meant to add the browser and such in my first post and yeah, I know phones make calls and send texts, but I would love to see those interfaces and not just the ones about the HD docks and extra laptop you can buy.

Look at any other blur device and you will see the interface. Its like the Motorola cliq just on roids

They're showcasing those features because what you're talking about is pretty much the same as the other Blur devices out there. That, and with being among the first dual core devices, they really want to showcase what the phone can do. (hence the focus on the new features)

That, and the laptop dock, et al are pretty bad ass features that no phone on the market is capable of.

I'm sure you'll see a full review on here and on Phonedog once the phone is actually out... But as said before, it's the same as the other blur devices. Go on to motoblur.com for a simulated look at what the phone does.
