Great Article Concerning Smartphone Releases

I read a pretty good article this morning about how phones are getting released too fast too quickly and the one that they mention is the bionic and how owners must feel a bit shafted. Its a good read.

Don't feel shafted at all. New, different and better phones are going to be released and that is a fact. when or how fast it happens does not change how I feel about my phone. That is a feeling that is easy to keep right now because none of the phones coming out right now are "game changers" for me. They offer slightly better this or that, but nothing dramatic. My phone is still fast, good screen (yes I like the pentile), large screen, light weight and thin (well thin enough). I mean does a phone being 7.1mm thick verses 11mm thick really make a real world difference to me? (the answer is no).

Im not concerned with the rate at which "different" phones are being released. For the time being atleast, there is little to no difference in hardware specs, its all a matter of preference. Im more concerned with the software being able to keeping up with the hardware. For example we have a slew of dual core phones out right now (cross carrier) that arent optimized for dual core, atleast until ICS gets the green flag for them.
