I stumbled upon the MoboPlayer for the Xoom. It a great video player that plays all older video formats without re-encoding. It can be downloaded at

MoboPlayer

Get the V6 VFP version (middle one) at the website. I'm not sure why its not in the android market. Here are some of the Pros and cons of the player.

Pros:
- Plays all standard def videios (asf, mpeg, divx, xvid, wmv, mp4, avi, etc.) with no problems and no Re-Encoding
- Great controls for the Xoom (aspect ratio switching, audio controls, video seek control, etc.)
- Its free

Cons:
- High def (MKV) videos don't play (very slow and no audio)
- Some videos have audio sync issues
- Player is not Xoom optimized yet

Let me know what you think of it.

Hey Super_Mario. The developer builds the software to take advantage of the processor and/or mobile device model. I just don't see a Tegra 2 or Xoom notification in his software development log. (described on his site)

Yeah I didn't either. I was asking more on the basis that I thought you had tried it. My main question is if it plays full screen?

I tried it. There is a problem. When playing AVI or .mpg movies, it you try to "slide" to a new place withing the movie, the player thinks the movie is over and quits.

I have switched from Rockplayer to Moboplayer and like it a lot more. I don't know if it is optimized for Honeycomb, but I can see the movie full screen and the audio quality is great.

I use both Moboplayer and Rock Player. I keep them both around because I get mixed results with my videos. Some play better on one over the other. Although my default go-to player is Moboplayer first.

Ditto. My experience and actions exactly.
