Greek tablet seriously needs rooting...but how???

I have a crystal audio 7.1 tab purchased in Greece about 6 months ago. Didn't realise until I got back to the UK that it doesn't allow access to Google play etc. It accesses something called slide me market. Not much good here. Its an android 4 o/s but their support people said they have no plans to upgrade the system and no licence to use the store. They all but said I needed to root it. My question, as a newbie, is where the heck do I start??? Any help out there please folks... Cheers!

I can't even find it on Google. Do they have a website?

A root method may be hard to come by if the device isn't very popular.

Hi and big thanks for the reply they do have a website but its all Greek... Literally ! Ist a crystal audio video tab 7. I have the full spec in English if that helps ?? I guess it's not just a simple... Wipe and install then?? I know they said it could be done ... In a blunt sort of subtle way but I haven't got a clue where to start :-(

Thanks for getting back to me..... I think its pretty much a Greek thing.. I know they have the tab 7.2 out now but guess it to won't have licence to Google play either. I know they said it could be 'upgraded' but they have plans. Not got a clue how and this will be my first .... Err..... Dabble ...thanks

most clone phones and tablets are bootloader unlocked so that would be easy for you to root if your familiar with fastboot----flashing files from pc to tab,but if not then...
try framaroot.....go to XDA.com and search for it----it roots most android devices
try RootX....search in XDA.com as well
try Eroot...search google
if you only need playstore app then serch google for the apk and when you are rooted put the apk file to system/app so it will work properly

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated...Google play would be a good start but the rest of the o/s is clumsy and slow. I was told I can't access Google play for licence issues.... I just don't know how to do these things :-(

Errrrrr ...yes...... Will do my best but not familiar with anything ... I'm a real newbie at this..... Windows... No problem !! :-( android still means human like robot to me at this moment :-(
