Greetings all, new android user here. I was a Storm 1 user for the full two year term. So that means I'm A-OK with OS tweaks and file swaps, it's how we survived using the Storm 1!
At any rate, I'm noticing some differences. Bluetooth if unpaired, requires using the phone to re-pair, whereas just power cycling the bluetooth unit before would re-pair with the blackberry. Further, in the car with the screen off in my pocket, I initialized call. I didn't know the screen unlocks and TURNS BACK ON with android, and it got all button mashed up. On the blackberry, a locked screen can still have two way bluetooth usage with the screen still locked. So, the phone in your pocket and you can voice dial with your headset with ease. And eusing the headset button just stops the bluetooth audio/mic on android, whereas on the blackberry, it ends the call. So this means I heard one call going in my pocket with the speakerphone. /facepalm. Is this something that can be tweaked while we wait for the 2.2 base files?
I'm looking forward to this experience and I acknowledge there are some hurdles to overcome that Verizon put in our way... and again, I'm used to that already. hehe. I look forward to roots and tweaks. OH and one other thing... is it possible to brick an android phone?? because in fact it's not possible to brick a storm 1. you can nuke it completely, boot to a failure, and reload it without issue.
Thanks all, I look forward to the adventures in 2.1 and then 2.2 and beyond.
