Greetings all,
just joined this forum to stay on top of all things Android related. I've been an iPhone user since 2008 but i'm seriously considering switching over to Android next year when my contract with Rogers is up. (August 2013)
I'm like a lot of iPhone users, I haven't used any other smartphone so I'm used to Apple's way of doing things. I have been watching many video reviews and walkthroughs of the new Galaxy S3 and I'm really impressed by it. I'll see what Apple has to offer with iPhone 5 (and by the time i'm ready to upgrade iPhone 6), but with what i've seen from the Android world in terms of customization and integration with Google, Apple would need to hit a huge home run for me to stay with them. I'm not very happy about Apple's decision to separate itself from Google (ditching Google maps, removing YouTube native app), since I'm very integrated with Google on a day to day basis. I use Gmail, Calendar, Maps, Google Drive almost on a daily basis, so that integration is important to me.
By the time i'm ready to upgrade my current iPhone 4 next summer, there should be a Galaxy S4 and many other new Android devices available, so my options will be fantastic and I know I'll be getting a great smartphone whichever way I go.
For now i'll be reading a lot and trying to keep up to date with the Android world, so that I'll be ready to make an informed decision next summer.
