Hey everyone!
I just registered, and I've commented a bit in the N7 forums already, so I thought I'd swing by here and say hi.
I have been an android fanboy for a long time now, starting with my first smartphone ever, the HTC Hero. From there I upgraded to an LG Optimus, and now I own an HTC Evo 4G LTE (which is like, the best phone ever).
I just pre-ordered my Nexus 7 tablet today and I am looking to replace my old clunky HP laptop with it. If anyone knows a good non-leather case with integrated keyboard and kickstand for it, let me know because I'm looking.
A little about me... I am an IT professional from St. Louis, MO. I mostly do break-fix repair on PC's, as well as networking. Switching to primarily Android from PC for personal use isn't something I am taking lightly. As far as work is concerned, I'm still forced to use PC's, especially considering a good portion of my job is fixing them, but on a personal level I am DONE. And no, I will not switch to Mac... so don't ask.
I do enjoy gaming quite a bit, and I own all 3 major consoles (PS3, Xbox, and Wii). As well I write and record my own music and I like to dabble in digital art. And now that the android community has had years to grow, I can use all the applications for art and music on an android device that I used to depend on a PC for.
All that being said, I look forward to interacting with this community!
