Coming across this place this afternoon due to a dead Moto g5s+ of only two weeks of receiving it. Crash n burn. Camera was causing the crashing and rebooting at first, then after a factory reset it just did what it felt like, random crashing and shutting down. Depeserately waiting for my replacement, this morning all systems fail. Cannot breathe life back into the phone. Sadly since I don't seem to have enough "reputation" here yet I cannot respond to the appropriate thread...so what does that take to respond to an "old" thread? that is not locked...

Welcome to the forums! Sorry to hear you're having such problems with a brand new phone. It seems that you got a defective unit and replacement is best option.

About your problems posting. As @SpookDroid said, you need a minimum of posts to be able to include links or attachments, but I can't find any posts from you being moderated because of this. What message did you get when trying to post?

The situation is horribly complicated as my phone company has gone above and beyond for me. I switched to a Samsung S7 back in July 17, and Samsung customer service has been horrendous. 3 months into my Samsung I had non-stop issues from camera to over heating. Just recently in June my phone started to seriously over heat and acutually burned my skin - Samsung was notified, ignored me and well, my cell phone company was considerate enough to refund my money and allow me to apply some towards my Moto Gs5+

So right now I feel bad because they did, unknowingly, send me a defective phone. While they were processing the replacement, I contacted Motorola to get their run down of fixes and they too stated the phone was defective BUT I could only get a refurbished phone, not a new phone (even though mine was brand new) Needless to say my phone company is doing the right thing, but in the mean time the phone was working (with constant crashes after factory reset) that now it died - thankfully after I had to call my local pd for a domestic on my neighbors.

But of course, luckily for me, I had my samsung still and was able to transfer over until my replacement moto g5s+ comes in.

I need some lucky charm for my phone I think lol

I didnt realize they were seperate things lol - I just tried to post under it and share my experience but was denied.....so it asked me to sign up which I figured would maybe let me respond but denied again....hahahahaha oh well

By the way, my main phone is a G5S plus as well. Bought it right after being released here in Brazil and never had a problem with it. I know, it doesn't mean anything, unfortunately defective units are sold and you got very unlucky with yours. Good luck with the replacement.

I had a Galaxy S7 edge since launch, gave it to my mom when the Note 8 came out. So far, that GS7 edge is still going strong.
Hope it keeps working fine for another year or two. *Knocks on wood.

If you find that your phones tend to crash, it could just be bad luck with defective phones, but it's also possible that something you routinely install is causing the instability.
