Grey status bar when power saving mode is on after update to marshmallow

Is there any way to get rid of this grey bar?

No. Perhaps with root, but otherwise no.

It's there for a reason, by the way - to remind you that you are operating in a mode which might save battery life but will compromise all of your phone's functionality.

I think he wants power saving mode on but without the grey bar (red bar on my Nexus 6P, by the way).
