Group Message Feature

I have a group of people and we use Hangouts but we wanted to try Allo to see if we could switch to that instead. In Allo there isnt a way that we have found where you can tell when people have read the messages. In Hangouts there is an icon for each person and you can see exactly who has read up to what point. In Allo all there are is checkmarks indicating everyone has read your message but you cant tell who hasnt read them. Anyone know if this is a coming feature? It really is a dealbreaker so we are staying with Hangouts for now.
