Group Messaging - Partial Reply-All

Still learning my way around my HTC One GE and getting used to JellyBean after finally leaving the dark ages of my time with a Droid X2. One thing I've been running into that was always a huge pain was replying to all in group messages, particularly my friends with iPhones. It looks like they added functionality and allow you reply to a group thread as an MMS rather than the way it was handled before, which was individual SMS messages to each of the participants in the thread. However, I've been finding that when I reply to a group thread, it has been creating a new group thread with only some of the participants from the initial thread involved. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to who my reply goes to in the new thread. Anyone experiencing this or able to tell me what I'm doing wrong?

The group-thread-as-an-MMS thing has been around a while (you were pretty behind with the X2 haha) but I'm having the same issues as you with my new One GE. I'm not really helping you or adding much with my reply here, but at least you know you're not the only one with the problem. I use Mighty Text to get my texts in Chrome and on my Nexus 7 and initially thought it maybe was a bug with that, but I guess it's with the One itself.

I had the same problem. I now use Textra. Highly recommend, its lightweight and looks like the stock app. A good no frills messaging app and fixes the problem.
