Group sms

I can not send a group sms as individuals on my pixel. I need to send out 5-10 people but get a error. Anyone know what can I do to get it work?

I assume you're using the Android Messages app, correct? Are you saying that you want the group text to send out as individual SMS messages to each person, or do you want it to go out as an MMS group text? Open the Messages app, tap Menu>Settings>Advanced, and see if the Group Messaging option is set properly.

Yes I’m using stock messenger. This is the error I’m getting. Then I have the two people with drafts.

Sounds like you need to enter the area code into your contact your using , this happens with Cricket in my own are code they want a 10 diget number ,kinda annoying but my contacts are updated now

Take the 1 out and try again.

Seems to working now thanks. But some of the people in the group it still says draft instead of time underneath their names.

I've always use Textra since I became an Android fan and it's never given me a reason to use the stock messenger and that's been on a Samsung Note 4, a pixel XL, and now the pixel 2 XL

Doesn't mean it isn't a great cross platform messaging app. It's downfall is it doesn't support sms.

It’s just another messaging app. It’s does not have the smarts of iMessage which knows to go sms when necessary.
