groups set up

I have a Samsung III and want to set up groups for texting. how is this done

Hello. Well it would be the same as group emails. You assign people in to a Group in the Contacts app, or via the messaging app.
It has default names for different groups, though I cannot see right now how you assign your own name to a group.
Anyway - Message - compose - send to button - use the top bar to scroll left to groups and select.
