GS3: Freezing problems all week, Now it won't turn on

Ever since the most recent update, my phone has had a lot of crashing issues. Primarily when using the Twitter app, it would seem, but other times too, even when it's not in use, I'll try and open it to find it crashed. When it's in use, it just freezes up, and needs a battery pull before it will respond to any sort of restart. Now last night, it crashed on me, and it still won't restart. After every battery pull, when I try to turn it on, it freezes on the "Galaxy S III" logo from the initial startup. Again, battery pull needed to shut it back down. If I plug it in after a battery pull, I briefly get a picture of an empty battery with what looks like the loading circle inside of it. No animation, just a brief image. Then it goes away and is unresponsive again. I left it plugged in all night in case it was a battery thing, but today it still has all the same issues. I tried a factory reset, but it just does the same thing as a reboot, except the "samsung" startup image has a blue recovery line at the top, and then after "galaxy S III" it goes away, rather than freezing on the image. Then nothing.

Help?

Pretty much the standard fix when an OTA update causes problems is a factory reset. But before doing that, you might want to try booting into recovery and clearing cache.

I you have to do a factory reset, be sure your contacts and other important data are backed up. You might want to look at the Helium backup app in the play store.
