GS6 Exynos 7420 SoC Article

One interesting thing Anandtech pointed out is that it's not actually 14nm entirely; it's more of a 20nm process with 14nm portions.

Maybe. But Samsung claims 14 nm throughout. Whether partial or whole. It will be faster and more energy efficient than the Snapdragon 810. This means better battery life for those who are still not embracing the reality that swapple batteries are an endangered species sure to be extinct in the generation of flagship smartphones. As much as I hate to admit, the iPhone has done quite well. Now, it's our turn. AndroidNation unite.

You do realize that it's you that's Introducing the removable battery debate into this thread also.

You could be right but I am trying to be forward looking and trying to become more technology savv about what goes into my devices and how they serve as a point of differentiation versus other devices.

Love that Samsung's 14 nm CPU will really reduce the power consumption but it is the Screen that burns the most power not the CPU chip.

It has mentioned that the screen despite the higher resolution is more energy efficient. UFS storage and slimmed down TouchWiz. Any savings from the 14nm design helps. It seems with these changes that the battery should be sufficient.
