Every now & then (although it's becoming more common now) the Gsam battery app battery percentage disappears. If I click on the app it reappears or sometimes it reappears if I wait long enough. Any idea why it does this? Also my phone tells me my battery is 29% but Gsam says it's 28% again any ideas?

I've always used gsam as a troubleshooting app to track a rogue app chewing battery. Then I'd Uninstall gsam again. The built in battery monitor is good enough for day to day battery management imho. Especially in your case of space issues I'd consider removing any apps duplicating baked in android functions.

So how do I remove any duplicating baked in android functions?

Not really unless you root and install a custom rom. The easier option is to remove gsam

Don't want to root my phone as I'd probably end up bricking it & don't have another phone to use. I like gsam as I keep an eye on how hot my battery gets. Getting a new phone in 2 months time & I'll need gsam on there to monitor the battery temperature.
