GSM Arena: Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. HTC One --FULL REVIEW--

Is it because I said cane? I mean the super amoled screen uses the battery quickly when mostly white, the question mark was for confirmation, My lumia was the same. I also think the gs4 looks awesome (my second choice android atm), just sticking up for the HTC one, there's a lot of HTC one bashing going on here.

I agree, this year the fanboys were too much. The fighting needs to stop.

But I think that what you are also seeing are a lot of disappointed fans. There are a lot of us who want this phone, but HTC keeps making the same mistakes it did last year...and the year before.

It's getting so bad right now, that I personally feel that the CMO and CEO both should step down for alienating and or purposely shrinking Its potential market share. I wonder just what more great news we get to hear tomorrow in how HTC can loose more support from It's die hard fans....and I'm one of them.

OK.

- They're not comparing Snapdragon and Exynos, they're comparing the chip in the One to the chip in the S4. They both have the same chip. 1.9 GHz is more than 1.7, hardly means anything in real world use but they're not wrong.

- Samsung managed to keep the dimensions the same for the most part, fit more screen onto the phone, increase the battery, and bring the weight of the phone to the levels of the iPhone 5. I'd say that deserves at least just a little bit praise in engineering regardless of it's materials, and that's what GSM was talking about. They even say the One destroys the S4 in design. If you want to be up in arms about that then fine it's somewhat understandable, although rather petty because I hope you buy a phone because of more than just how it looks. Believe it or not some people prefer SD cards and removable batteries, it's a very important feature for some. Especially since it looks like you can't even get to the battery of the One without demolishing the phone.

I don't understand why both phones can't be appreciated and people just can't be happy. Both the S4 and the One are going to be hot sellers and Apple won't have a legit answer for neither one, that makes me happy.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I was pointing out the same misconception that your under. The S4 does not have a higher clock speed, it was announced with a 1.9GHz s4 Pro, it will launch with a 1.7Ghz 600, exact same processor at the same clock speed as the One.

Again to clarify, not at all insulting the S4. I'm sure that many many people will be very happy with it. I'm criticizing GSM Arena for their lack of accurate facts in the comparison.

(PS just a little about me that your not getting. The looks of the phone aren't that important, I honestly thought the One was sorta ugly when I first saw it. I think the black looks much better than the silver so I will be getting that. But the feel is very important. I hear the One feels amazing in the hand and I need to feel that before I buy, but I've felt/owned other HTC aluminum phones and I love that. I've also felt the GS3 and I absolutely hate the build quality and feel. Moreover, yes it is impressive that they managed to fit a 5" screen in what is basically the same body as last years 4.7", but I think its equally impressive that HTC has managed to fit a 4.7" screen and two massive speakers in the same form factor.)

Nope. The S4 was never set to have a S4 Pro, and it indeed has a higher clock rate.

That's what I was thinking, too. I think SprintTouch666 has his facts mixed up.

On an unrelated note, this is recently the most viewed thread on the forums! :D

We're all mixed up haha. I was wrong about the clock speed. I thought it was 1.7 (like the One) because (as I said) the Samsung Galaxy S4 was announced to have a 1.9GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro, sources:
