I have a GSM POGO car dock that I have modified so that my LTE Nexus fits (thank you Dremel!) and it seemed to be working well but recently the battery will get very warm (105 degrees according to SetCPU) during normal use and eventually stop charging.

I am running Jelly Bean BuglessBeast 7-24-12 with Franco Kernel r230. Anyone else having charging issues?

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

If its in the sun it will quickly heat up. To minimise I keep it high on the glass to get more air to it and a little less sun. It still locks up sometimes though.

This is exactly why I stopped using windshield mounts. Vent mounts were no better in the winter because hot air is blowing from the heater. To bad because the only mounts that I am aware of that use the pogo pins also uses a windshield mount. Wish there was a non-windshield and non-vent mounting solution that made use of the pogo pins.
