Gtab+CM7 = AWESOME

I used to use vegan. had some bugs and fc issues. switched to CM7 and its been flawless. Havent tried the new vegan roms tho.. they're pretty popular so defiitely worth trying to see which you like better. they are based on same software just have differences in UI.

stock rom sucks. dont buy this tablet if you want a tablet with stock rom. you cant do anything worth having a tablet for using stock. running a hacked copy of msdos would be better than running stock.

I have been reading a little about this tablet for that past few months. With the Asus Transformer and Galaxy tab available, would this tab after modded be a similar experience? The price is really good on this one being under $300 but the Transformer at $399 is nice considering the the dock looks sweet.

Anyone use both?

I love my gtab. Still using cm7. Price is right. Yes, there are more powerful or advanced tablets, but the gtab is affordable, does games, ebooks, netflix, internet, movies from my SD card everyhing I want. And it does them great. Best tablet in my mind

might be a dumb question...but i wouldnt ask it if i didnt know the answer. Mine will have VEGAn GE v. 7.0.0 STABLE RC1 when i get it this friday. Is that the same as CM7? 9 I think no but need to ask)

If not...why is CM7 better then what i just posted? Thanks.

CM7 has more features generally. Has screen off and screen on animations, etc..

while I haven't used CM7 or VEGAn tab in awhile(running Honeycomb on it now) when I was, I found CM7 to offer more features.

G Tablet Newb here... have successfully rooted lg optimus s... was wondering if anyone had any specific tips/tricks/awesome apps to check out? seems like most people agree that CM7 is the way to go... im waiting for mine to come UPS today. "By end of day" ?!?!?!?!? Is 229$ with free shipping a good deal?

The only ones I could find are still in alpha stage...

Flashback 10.0 with my own tweaks. Runs really well too.

Hopefully they get the camera and hardware acceleration figured out. I know it is a driver issue, but once that hurdle is breached, Honeycomb will be killer on the gTablet,

Problem is that it's only got a 1024x600 resolution and that's a huge issue with some games. Shadowgun gets to the main menu and then goes black when you load a level.. compare it's resolution to some of the newer tablets out and you'll get depressed.

I really wish the Gtab would get full Honeycomb support.. IMO it's still a great tablet and I use mine daily. I almost never turn my PC on now because 2 clicks and I am browsing the web with my Gtab.

I want to trey to use it to it's fullest. Can anyone give this newb some pointers?? What should i load on it? Which rom? How do I do a complete wipe of what's on it and start with Honeycomb? or ICS if that's available for it....?

I would suggest going over to slatedroid.com. They have a lot of information about the different options available for the gTablet, including a lot of development going on.
