K, so you find an UBER COOL APP that you just must have... but a message that says your device has compatibility issues is covering your "Download" button.

What do you do now?
Cry?
Throw your phone at the wall?

No, you just have to change the build.prop!

Please note that this is for rooted phones and I cannot claim any responsibility if your phone spontaneously combusts...

Okay, first of all you need a Root Browser of sorts. Got that? Okay, now navigate to /system/ and locate your build.prop. Edit it by changing the ro.product.model=VM-701 to ro.product.model=<insertanotherdevicehere>

Save.
Reboot.
Now you should be able to download it!

Also, I would recommend changing it to a higher-end device model. Like a Droid or Gnex or something.

The way that I find out personally is finding a stock ROM for a device that I like and I look at the build.prop.

but I'm not sure if I got the right name the first time so I'm trying again. I asked in the Verizon GNEX forum and someone said it is i515.
