This is a quick write up on how to get back up and running after applying the HC View 4G ota if you were s-off.

First don't panic.

If your stuck at the white screen with HTC on it.

Things needed to accomplish this
-adb set up
-fastboot
-custom recovery
-nadroid backup or custom rom
-usb cable

Procedure
-power off by holding the power button. Continue to hold till it powers off.(orange power light will blink)
-holding volume down and power boot into hboot.(It will scan for sum files before you can do anything, don't worry when nothing should be found)
-in hboot plug into your PC,now select fastboot using the power button.(Should still be on white screen and say fastboot)
-now you need to fastboot flash recovery.(Link to custom cwm recovery)

Code:
fastboot flash recovery cwm-4.0.1.4-express.img

-once you flashed custom recovery select it from the menu using the volume keys and power to select.(Reboot recovery)
-restore the nadroid that you should have made or download a custom rom and flash it.

Will you be s-off or s-on after the update and the steps to fix the soft brick?

This will get you back to a custom recovery with s-off. If you have a nadroid back up then you can install it and be back to where you were before trying to apply the OTA. There are a few guides over at xda that will get you back to s-on but I haven't tried them. Im probably going to try and get my girlfriend's back to s-on and try the update. If I do I'll post up a easy how to.

With the tablet powered off. Hold volume down and power till Hboot pops up should be a white menu. There should be fastboot select it using power then you should be able to run the command above to flash recovery.

How do I install cwm-4.0.1.4-express.img

Do you have android-sdk set up on your machine and the fastboot file? If you do have all that set up then..
-power off the tablet or type adb reboot bootloader

-While holding volume down + power continue to hold till it boots to a white menu area

-select fastboot from the options(use volume to move and power to select.)

-then once it says fastboot, plug into your pc and run the following command from terminal.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery cwm-4.0.1.4-express.img

Once it's flashed choose reboot recovery from the list(might be just recovery). When your booted in recovery make a nadroid backup and then your good to go.

Thank you for all your help. I did what you said and it worked but it is still set to s-off.
Anything else I can try to unroot this device?

This occurred to me this morning, did an OTA for the new 3.0 and on re boot I have the white
screen with the HTC green logo.

Can not locate or install driver Android 1.0 as requested when the tablet is plugged to the USB port.

Keep getting a Dialog box; " Windows was unable to install Your Android 1.0"

I am running Vista 32 bit

Any advice, how or where to download a copy of the driver Android 1.0

Please Advise?

I would try installing pda net, if you have a android phone grab it from the market and use that to install everything at first then see if the driver picks up the connection. If that doesn't let me know and I'll see what else I can find.

I do not have an Android based phone.

Have two laptops, one running vista running 32 the other 7 running 64. and soft bricked Sprint EVO View :'(

Downloaded pda.net client for windows 64, installed, when I plug tablet to usb port, tablet connection is recognized.

What do I do next?

ANY Help, Advice or Opinion would be appreciated.

Thank You

Joseph
