please list in specific detail your step by step method for installing it manually and we can help you figure out where you went wrong.

So you tried to install it tho the bootstapper?
Thats the only way I do it ,but I dont use rom manager I know how it functions tho.

Yea need bootstrapper app to flash roms no matter if you use rom manager or not.

I have used bootstrapper by koush. Bootstrapped, downloaded from rom manager installed. Just like I did in the past with apex. Now it wont work.

Open bootstrapper. Click bootstrap recovery and click ok when you get the success. Then click reboot recovery. Select install from sd and find the zip. Apply and select reboot. Should work. I always bootstrap and get the success before flashing anything. If I don't sometimes it just reboots.

Are you doing a Wipe or Format of Data and Cache?

From my experience this is what I have done when installing a ROM.

Reboot into bootstrap recover, go and do a "FORMAT" not wipe of data and cache. I normally do both twice to make sure both are clean.

Then select the choice to install your ROM. I've never had any issue with this method. .

Yeah, shouldn't be a biggie, just run your previous nandroid and try again. I always wipe twice, and that seems to help (placebos) if nothing else. Every time you run a new ROM, flash bootstrap AGAIN, and make a nandroid. You be fine : )

Try downloading 2.1 install it and then install 2.5 on top I had the same problem until I did it this way

Ok so now its not only gummy jar.... Zapx, apex, etc... Phone reboots, starts to install then stops quarter of the way through and reboots... Any thoughts?

i suggest you start over from scratch.
sbf and get back to stock and then re-root and re-flash.
I would encourage you to read in detail how to do all of these things.
missing a single step can cause many problems.

What did you SBF to? What system version are you on now that you've
SBF'd? If you SBF to .320 use the patches to get onto .340 and then try to
install a ROM. Here is the system updater and patches for after SBF'ng to .320

I was having trouble a few weeks ago that landed me into the bootloader and
went through these steps after. I've ran Rubix 1.9.5 and Gummy Jar 2.5 now
with no problem. Just root with z4

TBH Patches: 2.3.340-System, Baseband, 2.3.340-Kernel, Bootloader
