GW3 on GW charger?

Does the original galaxy watch charger work on the galaxy watch 3 for anyone? I tried it when I got my watch the other day but I just got a flashing red light.

I've tried it too, and it doesn't work. The Active Watches charger seems to be the only one that is compatible with the Galaxy Watch 3. I have even tried other wireless chargers and they don't work either.

Thanks. Yeah I've tried a few as well. I thought it was supposed to be fully Qi compatible. Not sure where I saw that, but obviously not. Bummer.
My wifes active charges on my original GW stand so I figured this would to. I mean, all 3 of them are pretty much the same hardware.

That was the first thing I did out of the box. It's a shame because I prefer the stand set up.

i have the samsung dual charger, i ahve used it with my galaxy watch, it works with GW3 too

I bought the same stands and a couple of extra chargers so I have them around everywhere. I also noted that it charges fine using my note 20 ultra and its wireless charging share feature. Just charge your phone overnight and put the watch on the back.

Yeah I think the geometry of the original GW charging stand just doesn't work. When I dock the GW3 it works for a few minutes, and then loses contact. I'm able to charge my GW3 with the Samsung charging pad (2018), the duo charger, and of course via PowerShare from my Note 20 Ultra. But not the GW stand. Which is too bad, since it was quite convenient.

Also, why does the GW3 charger not come with an AC adapter? What do you do if you don't have other Samsung accessories laying around? Don't get me wrong, I love the GW3, but this is a minor annoyance.
