Worked for 1 day on my Kenwood 9905s head unit. Got in the next day. Radio was throwing error messages. Saying no bluetooth connection available one my note 9. Pandora worked fine. Tried everything I could think of before I re-paired the phone. But once i re-paired i can't get it to even show me the icon again.. just my luck. Was nice while it was av.ailable though

But I thought wireless Android Auto does not use bluetooth - it uses WiFi.

Has this changed? I thought it require USB Cable.

if you have android pie and a head unit that is compatible you should be able to use it. as of right now the only phones that are supposed to have wireless android auto are the Google phones.

My N9 is working great with 2018 Maxima via USB.

Yea USB has never been a problem. I've been waiting on wireless. The only reason is to be able to cut that last cord so I don't have to plug in for GPS. I have a wireless charger installed in my truck so it would be nice to drop it in the cradle and be able to use all the functions wirelessly haha

Have you tried removing the phone from the Kenwood, removing the Kenwood from the phone, and pairing them again? (I only have a single-DIN Kenwood, but when Pie came out, that's what I had to do. Don't ask me why - the Bluetooth specs didn't change - on paper.)

My main issue is I only have one USB port and when I use it for Android Auto, I can't listen to my music on USB. So, wireless Android Auto is something I am waiting for.

Yea I did after I deleted them from each other it hasn't worked at all. before that I would still get the icon saying it was available on the radio. but when I pressed it I was getting a Bluetooth error and it wouldn't connect. since then ive tried everything to get it to work again but it seems to be a no go

I've been searching all over for a potential solution to this exact issue, same stereo but with an S9+. I just uninstalled AA, and am going to try again. Gonna check and see if Kenwood pushed out new firmware as well.

Have you tried clearing cache of bluetooth? I read somewhere that it helped. I am looking at a kenwood for the sole purpose of android auto wirless. I hope the bugs get worked out soon.
