That's what I was thinking. On the Flossy video I saw yesterday, he said the S8 would fetch $600 on a trade-in. That's a great deal.not bad but you probably could still get more for the S9+ if you sell private.
All these questions on what constitutes a good deal is one reason why I don't purchase outright. I'd rather lease and spend around $250-270 for about 6 months usage than trying to get 75% value back for it by trade-in or selling outright.
I was planning on taking advantage of a similar offer during pre-order, but the $600 isn't guaranteed. If Samsung finds something that they aren't happy with, you get waaaay less. I won't take that chance.
