Android Central Question
In the top left corner of my phone I have a hand symbol with three little stars above it and I can’t figure out why it keeps appearing...
Welcome to AC!I have the floating icon of a hand and three stars. Moto G stylus 5G. It clings to edge of screen and does nothing when tapped
Welcome to the forums. That sounds like an Accessibility Shortcut. Go to the Accessibility settings and see which shortcuts you have enabled for system or third party apps.I have the floating icon of a hand and three stars. Moto G stylus 5G. It clings to edge of screen and does nothing when tapped
If it looks like my attachment it appears to be a Moto app that allows gestures to open items and complete functions. Like chopping your phone up and down twice turns on your flashlight, twisting the phone twice opens the camera and so on. It is called Moto Actions. Perhaps finding and opening the app will answer how to turn it off...?

That's probably it. I used and loved Moto Actions when I had Moto phones. If it looks like my attachment it appears to be a Moto app that allows gestures to open items and complete functions. I had the same problem and just figured it out. It was a shortcut on my moto phone for splitting the screen between two apps. You can get rid of the hand by turning off this accessibility shortcut under the "swipe to split" controls in accessibility folder within the system menu. It still lets me swipe to split the screen but now I don't see the hand icon anymore.
