handcent issue on galaxy nexus

So I obtained the G Nex. I have been using Handcent app since my first droid. love the app, now however there has been issues of force closing when I do specific things. Any one else have these problems? More importantly, any solutions on the horizon?

Also there are disable features for the stock messenger anyone have an issue when they disable it? or is it worth disabling?

Here is a list of reasons why it force closes with handcent that I found thus far:

retrieving/sending MMS
testing notifications
changing security settings
