Guys, this is an issue with the American version of the S3, the international version works OK. There are numerous forums all over the place complaining about 3rd party application notifications causing the LED stay on constantly and not blinking. I agree, lets hope Samsung gets it fixed. I myself have at least two applications (Astrid and Touchdown) that causes this symptom. I don't think much else can be done here to fix the issue.

You gave up a day too soon lol, the issue is apparently fixed in the update pushed out today.

In the latest update on handcent all is working, only issue is that they took away the ability to change the color of the LED, but it blinks blue slowly now..
