Handcent SMS Reply Problem

When I reply to a text message using handcent, it replies to everyone the original sender sent his message to. How can i only reply to the original sender and not to everyone else he sent the message to?

I love the Handcent user interface - it's so nice compared to stock's ultra functional look. However, I deleted Handcent after searching the settings to disable this very issue. I thought there was a way to UN-check reply to all in the stock text app, but discovered that's only an option in email settings.

I guess the answer is to always reply in a new message because it's often hard to know if there are multiple recipients. That doesn't seem logical, though. I, too, have "met" some interesting people via automatic multiple replies. Scary thing and there SHOULD be a way to disable "reply to all" in texting.

Does anyone have an answer to this?

This just makes no logical sense to me and the stock messaging app handles this so easily. I can't believe Handcent has missed this. Really wish we could get an answer though.

I sent Handcent an email but never got a reply. It would be an excellent app if they could fix this issue.

How about this...send message settings, check "send as split message".

No. Its a group message. Split message is something else.

Handcent is inferior to go SMS

How do you stop from replying to everyone on GO? i can't stop it.
And then i spend the next few hours explaining whats going on.. LOL
