Handcent wont uninstall

i just got the g2 and everytime i get a notification my regular sms and handcent gives me 2 notifications.

The thing is i never installed handcent so i dont know why its there.

i dont mind having handcent but everytime i get a text the notification bar at the top says its from a different contact until i open it then it the right contact.


either someone tell me how to get rid of handcent or how to make the notification correct pleaseeeee

go into the setting and turn notification off on one or the other that way you dont get them both handcent is good i use it..

Handcent is a step up from the stock messaging app. But you're saying going menu, settings, manage applications, downloaded applications, doesn't give you the option to uninstall? Weird because it is not a stock app on the g2.

If you want to use Handcent as your messaging app, launch your stock one and go into settings and turn off notifications.

Another good one is GO SMS if you dont like the Handcent
