Hands On Review of the Epic 4G

This will be a good high end phone with a keyboard and 4g to and to Sprints lineup. Right now the biggest question mark will be battery life.

Good article. I have the same concerns about touch wiz. I've seen some TW vids and it looks real cool, but not sure how useful it will be.

DIng! not too confident in that after hearing the battery life of the moment. They are going the right direction for battery life with the AMOLED screen instead of the LTF, but who knows. We'll learn more when more media people get their grubby paws on it... like Phil

I thought some review (of the Galaxy S, not the Epic specifically) was coming away very impressed with its battery life. I can't remember where the review was, though.

Anybody remember something along these lines?

His one worry is the same as mine that I've stated in many threads. Looking at others background I honestly can't say that this phone will be upgraded at a normal pace. But hopefully since this phone is gonna be available for the world, that it will get rooted fast and leaked upgrades can be applied that way.

I'm on the fence between the Intercept and the Epic, plus gonna wait until they officially release the phones with froyo.

Slashgear says they got two days worth of use.

One thing i noticed, though, is that Fring doesn't work with the front camera as-of-now, and qik doesn't work with it either. That kind of blows.

thats because they haven't had time to, i predict it will work by release since the Sprint Developer page for it is up now. If they didn't have any use for it, they wouldn't have put it there ;)

If it really can get 2 days... I'm sold. Sorry HTC, love your phones, but I want to be able to forget the charger and still be safe without making the phone twice as thick.
