Hangout Ringtone

I am hard of hearing and need a custom ringtone for Hangout to notify me of test messages. I have inserted "Dive Alarm" everywhere I find a sound option for Hangout and I still get a wimpy ding-ding that I don't usually notice. I went to the cellphone store and the young man there tried valiantly but gave up unsuccessful.

Any suggestions.

Buy a Smartwatch? I rarely hear or feel my phone and rarely feel it vibrate. Since I've had my watch though I've missed very little

This was a problem for me too. Found the answer in a Reddit post.

Problem is with Hangouts permissions not having access to Storage. Go into the App permissions and turn that on and all will be well.

Thank you very much, Argh. I did what you suggested and it took awhile to get someone to send me a text message but when the did it worked perfectly.
