Question: Can anyone supply any other phone manufacturer's model of phone other than, obviously, the stock Google vanilla, Pixel and Essential phones, to have received as many or more updates than this in a year?

Yeah, the 6T is an awesome device. In fact, I decided to come back to Android world because of how good my McLaren edition works. Some years ago I suffered a lot of misses because of Android's bugs and lags, and because of how good this gadget is I decided to try the OS again. No regrets until now.

Well, answering the question. I don't know exactly how many, but I know my iPhone X received a hell lot of updates during the iOS 11 cycle and, incredibly, even more updates during the iOS 12 cycle. Since iOS 13 was released it were 5 updates until now, and counting...

I cannot say that's a good thing, though!

I just checked and IOS 11 received 15 updates in a year in total and IOS 12 has had 14 in the following year if I am reading those figures right. Pretty impressive though.
