'Happy with Galaxy S5' Thread

If you don't need a lot of protection go with this setup:

-Samsung OEM Qi Charging Cover ($30)
-Belkin Grip Bumper ($30)
Tylt Vu Qi Charging Pad ($63 on Amazon)

That'd my setup and its great. The bumper leave the back side open but it's a battery cover that can be replaced if necessary.

Thanks for the info! I wondered how folks like the phone with just the side guards. I will add that to my list of items to look into.

S3 owner for over a year...went to the S5 in May 2014. Love it now, and hardly using all of the features yet. My wish list is for better sound via the headphone jack. I use Bose IE2 buds, and something is lacking. But I'm working on the next step. Overall, S5 is Awesome!!

Great to hear, thanks!

My problem with the usb cover isn't that it seems flimsy but that it does not close tightly, no matter how I work with it trying to get a snug fit. Thinking of just snipping the plastic hinge and doing without the cover.

You won't need to snip. Take off the back cover and you'll see a small screw holding it in place. Remove it if you wish, then replace it if you need warranty work or wish to sell it.

Yes, rather don't snip it. Unscrew it and save it for possible later use.

Follow this guide if you're unsure of how to just remove it.

My wife and I both purchased the S5 and we both love it. We both had the HTC one M8 and the signal was garbage. I think Samsung did a great job this time around.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah I agree I think Samsung have won this time around.

I've had my S5 for about a month now and I love it. I switched over from an iPhone that I had been using for two years. I'm already converted, I wonder what took me so long to switch. So far, no complaints here!
