Anyone having an issue with the haptic feedback function? I had my phone for a couple weeks before all the sudden the screen starting vibration when I pressed the soft keys and also the on-screen keyboard (swype, and LOVE it!). It was awesome! I had turned the setting on all along, but didn't really realize I was missing it. But then it went away for no reason. I've gone through all the settings, turned it off and back on, and nothing. For about a week. Now yesterday morning I took it off the dock and it is back working, out of the blue.. so far so good still working today... but for how long?

Weird thing is, last time before it stopped, the feedback did seem to get weaker and weaker before just turning off completely.

Who would I call, Google or HTC? I bought no contract full price. I'd hate to send it back and lose all my apps and stuff... An ideas?

Well it happened again, took off the dock this morning and no more haptic feedback. Nice while it lasted, 2 days this time. Guess I got a call to make.

What is HTC's number?

Oh yeah, and I didn't mention this also effects the normal vibrate function of the phone. Doesn't vibrate for calls/notifications either, when haptic isn't working.

Anyone having this problem?

Call HTC, they will more than likely have you return the phone and ship you another if its a hardware issue. if it shows signs of "physical abuse" as they put it, ie. drops, dents, scuff marks they may find you at fault and charge to repair the device. I have had no issues with mine at all so i haven't had any personal experience with HTC but the over a consensus seems pretty high. Many have returned theirs with an Unlocked bootloader expecting to pay a fee and HTC has found that it has been a hardware issue and repaired the phone or shipped a new one w/o cost. to back up your apps use AppMonster, backs everything to the SD card and allows you to press one key and install all. Good program free. AppMonster - Android app on AppBrain
the link for app brain. hope that helps and all turns out well.
