Haptic Feedback on V30+

Hi can anyone tell me if they are getting any haptic feedback when pressing the buttons on their keyboard?

I didn't even notice that I don't have it until I went to Target and used a Galaxy Note 8 and felt how great it felt o know you hit the button, giving it an almost real button feel.

Since getting my LG v30 I've literally just been touching glass with no feedback whatsoever and I have all the settings turned on for vibration upon press and I can't seem to get it working on LG keyboard, Gboard or Grammarly keyboard. All vibration settings are turned on it seems.

On my V30, the generic settings are at
settings > sound > more > vibrate on tap

Vibrate and sound settings for each keyboard will be within each keyboard's settings app.
LG: in the "more" grouping
Gboard: in the "preferences" grouping
swiftkey: typing > sound

I have not tried the various combinations of sound and/or vibrations since the first thing I did was turn off all of it.

Ok thank you I did all of those things again now and getting no vibrate on button presses. In general settings, I didn't realize that would be in sound settings.

I also went to each keyboards individual settings. I will keep at it, thanks again.

I use SwiftKey. And it has adjustable vibration intensity settings.

Ok I'll Try it. But I did have it before and don't recall anything even close to the galaxy real feel buttons.

I've tried everything and it doesn't seem to work. I just called LG support and we went through all checks and they said that since it didn't respond to any of their checks the only options left are factory reset or send device in for service.

I'll do what it takes but am curious if factory reset is pointless because the phone never seemed to have any haptics in the keyboard from day one.
The home, back and multi-window buttons at bottom do have feedback, they can be lightly felt. Only the keyboards have nothing. I'm currently using Gboard and the settings are Vibration ON, pop up ON and vibration strength set to 80.

Can anyone tell me if this sounds like my own problem that needs to be serviced while everyone else is indeed experience normal haptic feedback in their keyboard?

Or is the v30+ a phone that doesn't have great haptics?

I think it has great haptics. Intensity and duration can be controlled in a way I have never seen.

What a goof. I figured out what the problem is. Battery saver.

I took off battery saver and now am experiencing wonderful haptic feedback. I am surprised though that LG tech support didn't mention this, they suggested factory reset or to send phone in to be serviced.

I will see how well battery performs like this hopefully it's OK.

I've been using mid-level battery saver since I got the phone a few months ago and the battery has been extraordinarily great.

Heh thanks. Battery hasn't been terribly affected. Im liking Swiftkey keyboard the best now but as someone mentioned the LG keyboard allows you to hold down spacebar, like on the iPhone, and use it as a trackpad to move around between letters to edit mistakes.

That's interesting functionality! I may have to give it a second chance.

That is a cool feature of the LG keyboard.
However, I prefer the arrow keys on the SwiftKey keyboard.

Another gaff on my part, I just noticed that you can have the battery saver on AND get haptic by hitting 'Edit Mode' when selecting the battery saver.

In edit mode it offers some toggles. Including wether or not to switch off haptics.

Wow this phone has some nice customizability.
