Hard keys lighting up

I've noticed every now and then my hard keys are not lighting up. Anybody else or is it me

Happens to me also. I seem to notice it most often when I pull it off the desktop charger.

Lock the phone with the power button, then unlock with the home button. Button lights should work again.

Yah, but it's just a short temporary thing. I'm never too worried about it because it always turns back on.

That's a known issue with Motorola Android phones. I had the same issue with my Droid and it drove me crazy until i figured out that I had to lock and unlock to get them to work.

Same here. Just lock and unlock. My D1 never did this.

Same problem. Hoping a software update will fix this. You think they would have fixed it in the last update. I hate not being able to see the buttons when its dark.

you should change the title to hard keys not lighting up. I've also had this happen. Though because they are physical keys the light isn't as necessary

Android bug not just the X. No fix yet.

Noticed that after switching to a custom Rom this problem has gone away. My keys light up all the time now. Must be a froyo thing on the DX.

Not always.... there were times when it was pitchblack and they wouldn't light up. After switching from froyo to apex they always light up now. My room is bright right now and they are lit up at the moment. I still think it was a bug in froyo for certain people.
