I posted this in an earlier thread "Nexus 7 Hard Reset" about 4 hours ago. The original was sort of old, and I decided to repost as a separate thread.
Brand new Nexus 7, never connected to computer before except to charge.
It is locked up with password that was written down and previously used from written note. Have tried to reset with the device not connected and it hangs with "Google" on the screen. Have tried with it connected to the laptop, and it will not toggle to Recover. I can power off and on. I have gone through the steps in the previous post a number of times.
What else can I try?
